Forskning på højeste niveau
Metrologi og metrologisk kompetence er en central del af den grundlæggende tekniske infrastruktur i et videns baseret samfund. DFM udfører derfor uafhængig forskning i fundamental metrologi bl.a. for at udvikle og vedligeholde de nationale normaler indenfor masse, længde, nano, elektricitet, akustik, elektrokemi og optisk radiometri.
DFM’s fem hovedforskningsområder er:
- Akustik
- Dataanalyse
- Elektrokemi
- Fotonik / Radiometri
- Nano
DFM deltager løbende i forskningsprojekter sammen med industrien og universiteter, bl.a. innovationskonsortier, EU-projekter og projekter finansieret af diverse fonde. Derudover bidrager DFM i tæt samarbejde med universiteterne til uddannelsen af Ph.D. studerende og specialestuderende.
