The Danish National Metrology Institute (DFM) has received a grant from the Ministry of Education and Research to establish a national time reference. The new infrastructure will make Denmark less dependent on the dissemination of the time reference from navigation satellites.

In this connection, science journalist Jens Degett has made a podcast where he talks with physicist Mikkel Schou Nielsen from DFM about why Denmark should have its own time reference. You can listen to the entire podcast here .
