Laser safety course – IEC 60825
The course emphasizes safety precautions and proper handling of the various classes of lasers. Each course is adapted as needed and can advantageously be based on the customer’s equipment.
The course can include the following topics:
- Classification of lasers
- The IEC 60825 standard and the Danish legislation
- The photobiological effects of the laser beam
- Measurement of lasers, in particular optical power measurement (including units, traceability, calibration)
- What can the external components of a laser mean for a product’s classification?
- Example of measurement and classification of laser equipment
- Different laser types (high/low power, continuous/pulsed, UV/visible/IR)
- The nature of laser light, beam divergence, focusing properties, spectral properties
- The workplace: Responsibilities, safety measures and personal protective equipment
- In case of accident
Safety course in LED light sources – IEC 62471
The course emphasizes safety measures and proper handling of the various LED light sources. Each course is adapted as needed and can advantageously be based on the customer’s equipment.
The course can include the following topics:
- Classification of light sources, lamps and lamp systems
- The IEC 62471 standard and the Danish legislation
- The photobiological effects of light
- Measurement of lamps, in particular optical power measurement (including units, traceability, calibration)
- What can the components of a lamp mean for the classification of a product?
- Different lamp and light source types (high/low power, continuous/pulsed, UV/visible/IR, laser)
- The nature of light, beam divergence, focusing properties, spectral properties
- Example of measurement and classification of LED lamps and equipment
- The workplace: Responsibilities, safety measures and personal protective equipment
