Khan, Head of the Quantum Materials Team, to advance our quantum materials research. Following installation and commissioning, the system is now fully operational, and we have already begun producing high-quality quantum materials. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new MBE cluster comprises three specialized ultra-high vacuum chambers, each designed to fabricate exceptionally pure materials for next-generation quantum devices:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>III-V MBE Chamber: Dedicated to the growth of high-quality photonic qubits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Superconductor MBE Chamber: Enables the fabrication of superconducting qubits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparation &amp; Cleaning Chamber: Ensures sample purity for ultra-high vacuum processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each chamber is equipped with in-situ metrology and direct in-situ lithography, enabling precise material engineering at the nanoscale.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By the end of 2025, DFM will further expand the facility with an additional customized chambers optimized for high-purity Si &amp; Ge materials, paving the way for electron\/hole spin qubits and advanced quantum photonic devices. This comprehensive platform positions DFM as a national hub for cutting-edge quantum material fabrication, driving innovation in quantum computing, communication, and sensing. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project is supported by Innovation Fund Denmark (IFD), European Metrology Funds, and by funds from Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DFM is Denmark&#8217;s National Metrology Institute and one of the seven Approved Technological Service (GTS) institutes in the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the fall of 2024, DFM successfully installed a state-of-the-art, custom-built Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) system, led by Sabbir A.
